ABOUT MĀLA MĀMĀ FARM
Rooted in Hawaiʻi. Grown by our family.
Māla Māmā Farm is a Native Hawaiian-founded, family-run farm and botanical goods company founded by Natasha and operated alongside her partner, Dorian.
We grow, harvest, and craft māmaki teas, botanical blends, specialty syrups, salves, and body care in small batches. Our purpose is to make useful, approachable products with an honest connection to the plants, people, and places behind them.
OUR STORY
Māla Māmā began in a backyard garden in Kailua, Oʻahu, in 2020.
As a Native Hawaiian mother, nurse, farmer, and maker, Natasha wanted to build something that brought together agriculture, family, community, and her relationship with Hawaiʻi’s plants.
Dorian comes from a fourth-generation Kona coffee family. His agricultural background and connection to the family farm helped establish Kona as the foundation for Māla Māmā’s māmaki production.
Together, Natasha and Dorian manage the farms, production, packaging, customer relationships, and everyday work required to grow Māla Māmā responsibly.
The farm is not a backdrop to the brand. It is where every product begins.

WHERE WE GROW
Kona, Hawaiʻi Island
Our māmaki is grown on our family farm at approximately 1,500 feet in the Kona Coffee Belt. The leaves are hand-harvested, carefully dried, and prepared for our straight māmaki tea and signature botanical blends.
Punaluʻu, Oʻahu
In 2025, Māla Māmā began developing a three-acre agricultural farm in Punaluʻu. This land supports the next chapter of the company and provides space to grow ʻolena, lemongrass, butterfly pea, roselle hibiscus, and other useful crops.
Kailua, Oʻahu
Our home base in Kailua is where products are blended, packaged, labeled, and prepared for customer and retail orders.
WHAT WE MAKE
Māmaki is the plant that first introduces many people to Māla Māmā, but it is only the beginning.
Our growing product collection includes:

Each product should feel like a natural extension of the farms and give our customers another meaningful way to experience Māla Māmā
Plants from our mala
The ancient practice of laʻau lapaʻau—using medicinal plants for healing—guides our work. Māmaki, ʻolena (turmeric), lemongrass, and comfrey are key plants in our māla, each offering unique healing properties.
MAMAKI
A plant native to Hawaiʻi, family-grown and hand-harvested in Kona for our loose-leaf tea and signature blends.
'OLENA (TUMERIC)
Grown at our Punaluʻu farm and used for its warm, earthy flavor and golden color in our OG Blend and Ginger ʻOlena Syrup.
BUTTERFLY PEA
FLOWER
Grown and harvested in Punaluʻu. Its deep blue flowers give Butterfly Māmaki its vivid blue-to-purple color.
LEMONGRASS
Grown and harvested in Punaluʻu. Its bright citrus aroma and flavor are featured in our OG and Butterfly Māmaki blends.
COMFREY
Grown and harvested by our family and incorporated into our handcrafted Comfrey Salve
Roselle Hibiscus
Grown and harvested at our Punaluʻu farm. Its deep red calyces bring bright, tart flavor and ruby color to our Ula Ula blend.
OUR PURPOSE
“Grown with the purpose to heal” has guided Māla Māmā from the beginning.
For us, that purpose starts with caring for the ʻāina, growing useful plants, strengthening family and community, and making products with honesty and care.
We are building Māla Māmā carefully so that quality, human connection, and respect for the land remain intact as the company grows. Our goal is to create a trusted Hawaiʻi company that can continue serving its community for generations.
